Man United Offers Hojlund, Cash for Osimhen

Manchester United are reportedly eyeing Victor Osimhen, with the club considering a player-plus-cash deal for the 25-year-old Napoli forward. The Nigerian striker, linked with Chelsea, Arsenal, and PSG, is also on United’s radar, as per CalcioNapoli24.

The report suggests that United have proposed a combination of cash and striker Rasmus Hojlund to secure Osimhen’s signature, pending Napoli’s response.

Hojlund, who impressed in his debut season at United, could be a surprising inclusion in the deal, given his potential and future prospects at the club. The Danish forward is seen as a burgeoning talent with a promising career ahead, making his possible departure noteworthy.

Despite Osimhen’s critical role at Napoli, especially during their Scudetto-winning 2022/23 season, the club is open to selling him this summer. Osimhen, having excelled in Serie A, might be looking to challenge himself in the Premier League next.

Although his recent contract extension set his release clause between €120m and €130m, Napoli has adjusted his asking price to €100m due to the high fee deterring suitors.

While clubs like Chelsea, United, and PSG have shown interest, no official bids have been made yet, despite a previous €200m offer from a Saudi team being turned down. Osimhen, signed from Lille in 2020 for €75m, has become one of the world’s most exciting forwards.
