From the Office of Infrastructure, Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, training on bridge construction began on Thursday for at least 60 engineers.
The Public Service Staff Development Centre in Magodo, Lagos State, was the starting point for the three-day course.
With the theme “Bridge Building: From Theory to Practice,” the program concentrated on using knowledge in real-world situations.
Its goal is to improve engineers’ knowledge and proficiency in building bridges and roads.
The program includes a range of topics related to bridge building, including design, construction, and maintenance, according to the News Agency of Nigeria.
The participants, according to Olufemi Daramola, the state’s Special Advisor on Infrastructure to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, were recruited from the Ministry of Works.
“The training is not just an event but a cornerstone in the state’s ongoing commitment towards enhancing infrastructure development,” Daramola said.
He exhorted the attendees to pay close attention, ask questions, exchange viewpoints, and benefit from the resource persons’ extensive experience.
