Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has made a heartfelt appeal to Nigerians to refrain from making negative comments about the country. Instead, he urged citizens to focus on the positive aspects and support President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to drive meaningful change.

Speaking at the 2025 Inter-faith Thanksgiving Service in Ado-Ekiti, Oyebanji expressed his gratitude to God for giving Nigeria a courageous leader in President Tinubu. He praised the President’s willingness to take tough decisions that benefit the masses, adding that his reforms are already yielding positive results.

Oyebanji also pledged to work tirelessly for the development and prosperity of Ekiti State. He acknowledged the commendations of clerics at the event, saying he has no excuse not to deliver on his promises, given God’s preparation for his role as governor.

Furthermore, Oyebanji thanked the people of Ekiti State for their support, which enabled him to become governor through their votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said,”As the chief servant of the people, I make a promise again before God and before all of you that are here today (yesterday) that I will serve you with every fibre, every energy. I will serve you in truth, and I will serve you with fear of God and 2025 will be our year of accelerated growth and development for us as a state and individually.”

Governor Biodun Oyebanji also called on successful sons and daughters of the state, both at home and abroad, to support the state government’s efforts. He encouraged them to follow the examples of notable figures like Aare Afe Babalola, founder of Afe Babalola University, and Chief Wole Olanipekun, former President of the Nigerian Bar Association and by leveraging their influence, resources, and goodwill, these individuals can make significant impact on the state’s development.
