Sterling Bank Limited recently garnered significant recognition at the fourth Development Bank of Nigeria Service Ambassadors Award Ceremony and Dinner in Lagos. The bank was honored in three key areas: as the DMB with the Most Impact on Youth, the DMB with the Most Influence on Women MSMEs, and the prestigious DBN Platinum Service Award.

The DBN Platinum Service Award, the highest accolade of the evening, included a technical assistance grant of N5 million. This event highlights and rewards financial institutions that excel in directing funds to MSMEs, thus contributing to job creation and broader economic growth.

Edward Ogunmekan, Divisional Head of Retail & Consumer Banking at Sterling Bank, stated, “These awards are a testament to Sterling Bank’s steadfast dedication to empowering Nigerian entrepreneurs, particularly among youth and women.

By bolstering MSMEs, we’re not just fostering business development but also laying the groundwork for a stronger and more inclusive economy. This recognition from DBN motivates us to further our commitment to driving sustainable economic advancement through strategic financial initiatives.”
