President Bola Tinubu has signed the new Minimum Wage Act into law, marking a major milestone in the administration’s efforts to improve the welfare of Nigerian workers. 

The signing ceremony took place at 2 pm on Monday at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The event was attended by key dignitaries, including the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, and the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, among others.

 

With the signing of the new Minimum Wage Act, President Tinubu has fulfilled a crucial campaign promise, demonstrating his commitment to enhancing the lives of Nigerian citizens. 

The new law is expected to bring relief to millions of workers across the country, providing them with a higher minimum wage and improved working conditions.

Further details of the new law and its implications are expected to be announced shortly.
