Kano approves N819m for vehicles and N29bn for capital projects

The Kano State Government has allocated N29 billion for the initiation and completion of several infrastructure projects across different areas of the state. This decision was reached during a meeting of the state Executive Council chaired by Governor Abba Yusuf.

 

In a statement released by the Director-General of Media and Publicity, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, it was disclosed that the council approved N7.7 billion for the continuation of the dualisation of a 5-kilometre road across all 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State.

 

Additionally, the council sanctioned N239 million for the construction of three rural roads: Ja’en Makera-Salanta Gudduba-Unguwar Baizangon Guliya, and Fagoje-Kwanar Zuwo, located in Gwale, Ajingi, and Kiru/Madobi LGAs respectively.

 

Furthermore, the council authorised the procurement of 500 relief transformers to be distributed across communities in the state’s 44 local government areas, at a cost of N7.1 billion.

 

These approvals underscore the state government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and services across Kano State.

 

In addition to the previous approvals, the Kano State Executive Council has allocated N239 million for the construction of three rural roads: Ja’en Makera-Salanta Gudduba-Unguwar Baizangon Guliya and Fagoje-Kwanar Zuwo. These projects are set to benefit communities in Gwale, Ajingi, and Kiru/Madobi local government areas.

 

Furthermore, the council has authorised the procurement of 500 relief transformers to be distributed across the 44 local government areas of the state. This initiative, costing N7.1 billion, aims to enhance electricity distribution and reliability in various communities within Kano State.

 

The Kano State Executive Council has also approved the allocation of N6.4 billion for the 2024 Constituency Projects across the state. This funding is designated to support and implement various development initiatives and infrastructure projects within the constituencies of Kano State.
