The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi State has appointed a former Deputy Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sani Tadurga, as Director-General of its Kebbi State Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Tadurga’s appointment is part of the party’s efforts to strengthen its campaign structure and mobilise support ahead of the election.
The former Deputy Speaker is expected to coordinate the party’s campaign activities across the state and work with other members of the campaign council to build a stronger grassroots presence.
The development comes as the ADC intensifies preparations for the 2027 governorship contest in Kebbi State. The party’s governorship candidate, Abubakar Malami, a former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, has been positioning the party for the upcoming election.
The ADC had earlier named Musa Zagi as Malami’s deputy governorship candidate, further strengthening the party’s campaign team ahead of the poll.
Tadurga’s experience in the Kebbi State political landscape is expected to be useful to the campaign as the party seeks to expand its support base and compete strongly against the ruling party.
The appointment also comes at a time when political parties across the country are putting their campaign structures in place ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The ADC is expected to use its campaign council to coordinate mobilisation at the local government, ward and grassroots levels while communicating its policies and programmes to voters across Kebbi State.
Political activities in Kebbi are expected to increase as the 2027 election approaches, with parties likely to intensify consultations, mobilisation and campaigns in the coming months.
