The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Kebbi State, Abubakar Malami, SAN, has approved the appointment of former Deputy Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sani Tadurga, as Director-General of the party’s Kebbi State Campaign Council.
The appointment was announced in a circular issued by the party in Birnin Kebbi and followed consultations with key stakeholders and party leaders in the state.
The newly constituted campaign council is expected to coordinate the ADC’s activities across Kebbi State as the party prepares for the 2027 elections.
Three Deputy Directors-General were also appointed, with each representing one of the state’s three senatorial districts. They are Arch. Bala Sani Kangiwa for Kebbi North, Hon. Shehu Aliyu Sambawa for Kebbi Central and Alh. Aliyu Jibrin Bagaruwa for Kebbi South.
The party also appointed Barr. Aminu Bunza as Secretary of the Kebbi State Campaign Council.
According to the ADC, the appointments are designed to create a strong, inclusive and effective campaign structure across the state.
The party said the appointees were selected based on their experience, leadership abilities and grassroots knowledge, which it believes will help strengthen its campaign and expand its support base.
The ADC urged the newly appointed officials to carry out their responsibilities with dedication and integrity while working toward the success of the party and the interests of Kebbi residents.
The development comes as political parties intensify preparations for the 2027 general elections, with candidates and party structures beginning to strengthen their grassroots mobilisation ahead of the polls.
