A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State, Mohammed Bello, has announced his resignation from the party.
Bello, a former APC senatorial aspirant for Yobe Zone A, described his decision as a step to “come out from bondage.”
His resignation was conveyed in a letter addressed to the party’s Ward Chairman in Gwange, Damaturu metropolis, stating that the decision takes immediate effect.
“I am writing to formally notify you of my decision to resign my membership from the All Progressives Congress (APC) with immediate effect,” the letter partly read.
“This decision did not come lightly; it follows careful reflection on my personal values and the current direction of the party. After much deliberation, I have concluded that it is in my best interest, and that of my community, to step away from the party at this time.”
