The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has granted approval for Enugu Air to begin domestic operations through a temporary partnership with XEJET.
In a statement released on Monday, NCAA spokesperson Michael Achimugu said the collaboration will remain in place while Enugu Air completes the process of obtaining its Air Operator Certificate (AOC). Under the agreement, XEJET will serve as the operational partner.
As part of the partnership, XEJET has successfully completed the full variation process required to add the EMB 170 aircraft to its Operations Specifications (OpsSpecs), in line with the NCAA’s five-phase certification procedure.
“With this, XEJET is fully authorised to operate scheduled commercial flights on behalf of Enugu Air under existing NCAA regulations,” the authority confirmed.
For now, all ticket bookings for Enugu Air will be managed via XEJET’s platform, which will be accessible through a redirect on Enugu Air’s official website.
The NCAA reiterated its commitment to fostering a supportive regulatory environment for local airlines, promoting fair competition, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, security, and consumer protection in Nigeria’s aviation sector.
