Nigerian senator and businessman Ned Nwoko has marked six years of marriage with actress Regina Daniels, sharing a heartfelt poem on Instagram to celebrate their journey together.
In a post on Thursday, Nwoko shared a photo of himself and Regina alongside a poem titled “Six Years Later…: She Still Can’t Resist Me,” reflecting on their love and commitment.
“Six years and counting, and what do they see? A love untamed, wild, and free. Regina, my fire, my sweetest delight, Through every storm, you’ve held me tight,” the poem read.
The senator further revealed an intimate exchange between him and Regina, recounting how he playfully proposed to her again that morning.
“This morning, feeling bold, and true, I sent you a message, out of the blue: ‘Will you marry me?’ a reckless play.
“Your laughter spilled like golden rays. ‘Hahahahaha! Always! The biggest YES’! Oh, my queen, you love me so truly. Should I gather the elders and pay the price? For you, I’d do it all anew!” he wrote.
Nwoko also addressed societal criticism of his polygamous lifestyle, defending his approach to love and marriage.
“They whisper of love in measured tones, as if hearts are caged, made of stone. But ours, Regina, is fierce and wild, A dance of fire, God’s own child.”
He went on to highlight the importance of honesty in relationships, stating, “A good man, monogamous or not, brings peace to the home and keeps it hot. Better to love with honesty bold than sell a dream wrapped in fool’s gold.”
His romantic tribute comes amid recent speculations about trouble in their marriage. In February, Regina raised eyebrows when she removed Nwoko’s name from her Instagram bio and deleted all photos of him from her page.
The move fueled rumors of a rift, especially amid allegations that Nwoko was planning to take actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife. However, both Nwoko and Ike swiftly denied the claims, dismissing them as baseless.
Despite the public speculation, Nwoko’s latest post appears to reaffirm his bond with Regina, portraying their marriage as one built on love and mutual understanding.
