Nollywood actress and film producer Abimbola Craig has sparked conversation with her views on marriage, stating that she believes it’s a “scam.”

During a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Abimbola shared her thoughts on traditional marital roles, where women often bear the brunt of household responsibilities and catering to their partners.

The 38-year-old actress, known for her role as Tiwalade in the hit web series “Skinny Girl in Transit,” clarified that her decision to remain single is not because she opposes marriage but because she values a partner with self-awareness or purpose

She said, “I am not married, not because I do not want to be married, but if you are a man who does not know who he is, you cannot be with me.”

Abimbola criticized the institution of marriage, referring to the title “Mrs.” as shorthand for “Master’s in Residential Servicing,” a notion she attributes to her mother.

Abimbola’s comments come after she opened up about her near-death experience after her brain surgery in 2014, where she battled severe complications. As a successful producer, co-producing the 2019 box office hit “Sugar Rush” alongside Jade Osiberu, Abimbola’s views on marriage have sparked interest among fans.
