Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has publicly issued an apology to Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries for spreading false allegations against him.

Halima admitted to falsely spreading fake allegations and causing harm and distress through social media posts. She also acknowledged that her actions were unjust.

The controversy began in 2022 when Abubakar became sick following an altercation with Suleman. Her family accused Suleman of involvement, sparking widespread speculation. Abubakar later shared medical reports disputing claims of an autoimmune disease.

In her apology letter,  Halima expressed deep regret, seeking forgiveness for tarnishing Suleman’s image, his wife Dr. Lizzy Suleman’s reputation, and the Omega Fire Ministry.

The letter read, “I admit that I made false allegations against you and also regret my action and the damage I caused to you, your wife, Dr Lizzy Suleman, your family, and the leaders of the Omega Fire Ministry.

“With this letter, I humbly ask for forgiveness, recognizing that my apology cannot undo the harm, pain, and distress I caused, and I ask you to find a place in your heart to forgive me as I was not thinking right then.

“I’m truly sorry for all the hurts and distress I caused you, your family, and ministry.”
