Renowned content creator Olamide Ogunleye, popularly known as Oluwadolarz, recently shared a disturbing experience involving an unnamed individual within the entertainment sector on social media.
In an Instagram story posted Sunday night, the Nigerian comedian and musician disclosed that a prominent figure in the industry demanded a sexual favor in exchange for promoting his music.
Oluwadolarz recounted that the entertainer explicitly said he would only support his music career after engaging in sexual activity with him.
He wrote, “You will promote my songs. Endorse my music. Help me top chart. But make I first bend over make you enter my Yansh. E.n.k.r sir.”
Though Oluwadolarz is best known for his comedic content, he has ventured into music, often remixing popular songs and collaborating with other artists.
In 2018, he released a version of Olamide Badoo’s hit track Science Student, which was rumored to have displeased the original artist. However, Olamide had previously shared Oluwadolarz’s cover of his song Wo on Instagram, though he did not do the same for Science Student.
In an interview with Sunday Scoop, Oluwadolarz clarified that his aim was never to offend Olamide.
“When I did a version of Wo, Olamide shared it on his Instagram page, so I assumed he would appreciate this one too. I had a sense that he might not have liked my interpretation, but when we met at a video shoot, he didn’t mention anything. He greeted me politely and said it was nice meeting me,” Oluwadolarz explained.
He further speculated that Olamide’s dissatisfaction might have stemmed from his video revealing certain aspects of the original song.
Oluwadolarz also acknowledged the anti-drug message in Olamide’s original Science Student video, adding, “If you watch closely, you’ll see he was advocating against drug use.”
Additionally, in an August 4, 2024, report by PUNCH Online, Oluwadolarz expressed that, regardless of how successful he becomes, he will always consider himself an emerging artist.
Earlier this year, he teamed up with Smile T to release a single titled Fuchor Me.
