A heartbreaking incident occurred in Jeddo community, Delta State, as a father of 9, Mr. Charles, took his own life after consuming an insecticide.

According to sources close to the family, Mr. Charles had a heated argument with his wife before the incident, pleading with her not to leave him. Unfortunately, his pleas were unsuccessful.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with many expressing concern about the rising cases of suicide in the state.

“The rate of suicide in Nigeria is alarming,” said Mrs. Oyinyechukwu Ugwueze, a local counselor. “We need to prioritize mental health support and conflict resolution.”

The Delta State Police Command has been informed, but the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, was unavailable for comment.
