On Sunday, the Nigeria Police Force emphasized the crucial role of Nigerian youths in national security and development. Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, made this statement while announcing the upcoming Police Youth Summit 2024, set to commemorate the UN International Youth Day on August 12, 2024.

According to Force Spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, preparations for the Nigeria Police Youth Summit are underway, and the police are excited to engage with the nation’s brightest young minds.

The summit is expected to be a stimulating event with discussions on youth empowerment, national security, and intelligence, featuring Prof. Olanrewaju Fagboun, a professor of Environmental Law and former Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University, as the keynote speaker.

The event will include interactive sessions on crime prevention, conflict resolution, and community engagement, offering a platform for youths to present their ideas and perspectives.

Adejobi also mentioned that innovative solutions created by Nigerian youths will be highlighted, showcasing their creativity and potential. Inspector General Kayode Egbetokun will make a special appearance, reinforcing the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to youth empowerment.

“Together, let us build a safer, more secure Nigeria by harnessing the energy and talents of our young people,” Adejobi stated.
