The senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Center Pastor Paul Enenche stopped a member from continuing to share her testimony during service. According to pastor Paul Enenche ‘the testimony is a lie’. This happened during the Sunday service 14th April, at the Dumanis International Center Abuja (glory doom).
The testifyer identified as Anyim Vera, claimed to have graduated with a “BSc in Law” from the National Open University of Nigeria, but was interrupted by Enenche, who accused her of lying. He said, “There’s no BSC in law, it’s LLB. Go back to your seat”.
People on the internet were able to find Anyim Vera’s Facebook page and photos that confirm she graduated from NOUN. They even found her name on the list of graduates from the convocation on April 13. It’s amazing what you can discover online these days!
This has triggered a lot of reactions among Nigerians, some said the senior pastor was wrong to have cut her off like she might have truly graduated, and some were in support of what he did.
An X user, Soulmedika, wrote, “The only thing Pastor Paul Enenche needs to do to that woman is apologise and it should be profuse! All the excuse of ‘it’s not the Pastor’s fault, the woman should have been able to articulate the name of her degree’ is lame! Ye, all should stop acting like Christianity is a cult!”
“If you know you have stage fright and you can’t make a good sentence in English, why not write down your testimony for them to read at the altar? That’s why that option is there. Don’t come and disgrace the church, especially when you know it’s an international church,” this was written by reallknoxy.
AdvebturousAlec also said on X, “The pastor is not wrong and the woman is not wrong either, she made a mistake after my realization. There’s nothing like a BSc in Law but an LLB in Law, which is a Bachelor of Law. Paul Enenche replied to her based on her response,’ Bsc’ not because he saw a valid proof of evidence. She brought it on herself, but as a pastor, he would love to maintain the peace.”
A lot of Nigerians have seen and advised that the senior pastor apologized to her.
