A young Nigerian lady’s moment of joy turned to sorrow after completing her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, as she was left alone with no family or friends to celebrate her achievement.

The emotional scene was captured on video, showing the fresh ex-corper shedding tears and refusing comfort. According to @sugah515, who posted the clip on TikTok, the lady was devastated because no loved ones attended her passing out ceremony.

“You don’t know what God has done for you if you have friends and family that always turn up for you when you need them,” @sugah515 wrote. “This lady was expecting someone to celebrate with her, but unfortunately, nobody showed up.”

The lady’s disappointment was palpable as she clutched her NYSC certificate, symbolizing the end of her service year. Despite efforts to console her, she remained overcome with emotion.

“I felt her pain, it’s not just about the ceremony, it’s about the love and support that comes with it.”@sugah515 added.

Reactions poured in from social media users, sharing similar experiences and offering words of encouragement.

@Hesterniyi “No go face life. Since I enter uni till I graduate, I no dey expect anybody.”

@Amuziifeoma: “From my matric till I finish, nobody showed up for me. I understand the feeling; just be happy.”

@EneEwache “Normal thing, nobody showed up for my matric, I start school, finish, nobody come visit me for hostel, service till I finish, nobody come see me.”

@Ritabella accessories “Her own is even good. My matric day, graduation day, all through my years in school, nobody came. I was heartbroken seeing my friends with their families.”

NYSC officials and fellow corps members attempted to lift the lady’s spirits, but her sorrow was undeniable.

“This is a reminder that we should cherish and appreciate those who support us, to everyone who has someone who cares, please don’t take it for granted,” said @sugah515
