Nigerian rapper, lawyer Folarin Falana AKA Falz has broken his silence on the allegations made by social media activist Martin Vincent Otes AKA Verydarkman (VDM).
During a recent podcast appearance, Falz addressed VDM’s claims that he and his father, Femi Falana, a renowned human rights lawyer, were involved in crossdresser Bobrisky’s bribery saga. Falz emphasized that he wouldn’t tolerate false accusations, stating, “You can’t expect me to sit down, fold my hands, and watch you say nonsense about me.”
He also revealed that he had contacted musician Seun Kuti, who may have intervened in the situation. The allegations led to Falz’s family filing a lawsuit against VDM. Falz’s sister, Folakemi Falana, also took legal action against VDM.
VDM subsequently questioned Falz’s legal credibility and that of his sister, praising their parents instead.
Fans have rallied on social media, expressing their opinions.
@official_horlaidey9: “Falz, we’ve got your back! VDM needs to provide evidence.”
@dj_atama007: “Falz, don’t let them bring you down. Focus on your music.”
@kind_milivonair0e: “Truth will prevail. Keep standing tall, Falz.”
@imbeautiful3081: “As a lawyer, Falz should handle this in court, not on podcasts.”
@voiceofko: “Both sides should resolve this amicably.”
According to Legit.ng, VDM is yet to respond to Falz and it is obvious that the dispute between Falz’s family and VDM might continue, with no resolution announced.
