Lagos thugs threaten residents

Suspected thugs have begun intimidating residents of Lagos State, urging them to refrain from participating in the upcoming hunger protest set to take place from Thursday, August 1 to August 10. In a viral video circulating on Tuesday, anonymous voices can be heard issuing stern warnings to market vendors and other community members. The threats suggest that participating in the protest could lead to even greater levels of destruction than what was witnessed during the #EndSARS demonstrations.

The clip captures these individuals admonishing potential protesters, implying that the protest might escalate into violence and disruption far exceeding past events. They challenge those considering the protest by questioning their resolve, saying, “Anyone who is truly confident should come out on Thursday to protest. Are you the only one experiencing hunger?”

The video also features a stern warning from the men, who state, “If you dare come out for the protest, you will be mercilessly dealt with.” This threat underscores the intimidation tactics being used to discourage participation in the hunger protest, adding to the growing climate of fear and tension among residents.
