The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, has appointed three senior officials to serve in key advisory and communications roles ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The appointees are Sani Takori, who was named Political Adviser; VinMartin Ilo, appointed Chief Technical Adviser; and Steve Nwosu, who will serve as Spokesman. The appointments took immediate effect.
According to a statement by NDC spokesman Osa Director, the appointments are aimed at strengthening operations, administration and strategic communication around Dickson and the party as preparations for the 2027 elections intensify.
Takori, a lawyer and politician from Zamfara State, has held several public offices during his career, including registrar, magistrate, Solicitor-General, Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice. He also served as a member of the House of Representatives between 2003 and 2007.
He is described as a founding member of the NDC and previously served as the party’s pro-tem National Secretary when it was registered.
Ilo, the newly appointed Chief Technical Adviser, is a media executive, broadcast journalist and development and international relations expert with experience spanning broadcasting, public service, strategic communications and development consultancy.
The appointments are expected to strengthen Dickson’s political and media operations as the NDC continues to expand its structures and position itself ahead of the 2027 elections.
The move also signals the party leadership’s focus on building a stronger advisory and communication team as political activities across the country gather momentum.
