Amazon has unveiled a new satellite internet terminal, named Leo Ultra, designed specifically for enterprises and organizations that require high-speed, reliable connectivity in remote or challenging locations. This new hardware is part of Amazon Leo (previously Project Kuiper), the company’s initiative to expand satellite internet access.

Leo Ultra is built to deliver gigabit-level download speeds and strong upload performance, allowing businesses to run cloud applications, handle large data transfers, and maintain seamless communication even in areas without traditional broadband. The terminal is rugged and weather-resistant, making it suitable for outdoor setups and harsh environments.

Beyond raw speed, Leo Ultra supports secure networking features, including private links and integration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), enabling organizations to manage their operations safely and efficiently. Amazon has begun a limited preview of the terminal, letting selected businesses test its capabilities before a broader rollout planned for 2026.

With Leo Ultra, Amazon aims to provide businesses a reliable alternative to conventional internet, bridging connectivity gaps in regions that have struggled with limited infrastructure.
