The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a revised list of its Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections, featuring Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and other political figures.
Under the new arrangement, Wike has been assigned to coordinate President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign in Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory, while Adeleke will oversee campaign activities in Osun State.
Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has been named Director of Finance, while Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, Zacch Adedeji, will lead fundraising efforts.
The list also includes Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member and former Gombe State Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo among the campaign council’s advisers. Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has been appointed Deputy Director-General for South-East II.
Minister of Works David Umahi will serve as Deputy Director-General for Infrastructure and Sensitisation, while former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has been assigned the role of Director of Stakeholder Mobilisation.
Other appointments include former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola, who will coordinate stakeholder mobilisation in the South-West, and former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo, who has been named Deputy Director for Sports Sector Mobilisation.
Senator Abdulaziz Yari retains his position as Director-General of the campaign council, with Senator Adams Oshiomhole serving as Deputy Director-General for Mobilisation and Femi Gbajabiamila as Deputy Director-General for Administration.
Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma also retains his position as secretary of the council, while Dele Alake remains its spokesperson.
The revised list comes amid earlier controversy surrounding the composition of the APC’s campaign council, particularly over the inclusion and exclusion of certain political figures.
The council is expected to be inaugurated on Wednesday, October 14, at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja as the ruling party intensifies preparations for the 2027 presidential election.
