Isaac Fayose, a political commentator, has urged people from the South-East to support Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Fayose said Obi could still secure victory in the election even without the full support of voters from the South-East, but appealed to the region to participate actively in the political process.
He made the remarks while discussing the 2027 presidential contest, urging Igbos to support Obi if they believe he represents their political interests.
According to Fayose, the outcome of the election would depend on broader national support, rather than votes from any single region.
He also encouraged Nigerians to take the 2027 election seriously and make informed decisions based on the candidates and their proposed programmes.
The comments come as political parties and presidential aspirants intensify preparations and mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general election.
