Millwall forward Femi Azeez has been recognised among the Championship’s top performers after earning a place in the PFA Team of the Year for the 2025/26 season.
The Nigerian enjoyed a productive campaign with Millwall, contributing 11 goals and seven assists as he established himself as one of the division’s influential attacking players.
His efforts were rewarded at the PFA Awards on Tuesday, where he was named alongside several of the standout players from the English second tier.
Coventry City, who secured promotion to the Premier League, have a strong presence in the selection. Goalkeeper Carl Rushworth is included alongside Milan van Ewijk, Bobby Thomas, Matt Grimes, Jack Rudoni and Haji Wright.
Millwall defender Tristan Crama, Southampton defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney and Swansea City forward Zan Vipotnik complete the XI.
Azeez’s club form also brought him into the Nigeria setup under head coach Eric Chelle.
He made a quick impact with the Super Eagles during the Unity Cup in May, scoring two goals against Zimbabwe and later setting up a goal in the clash with Jamaica.
His performances across the season have raised his profile, with the forward now firmly regarded as one of the Championship’s notable attacking talents.
