Anthony Joshua has entered a new phase of his commercial career after signing a representation agreement with CAA Sports, working in collaboration with his long-term management team, 258 Group. The move strengthens his global business presence and aligns him with some of the biggest names in international sport.
As part of the arrangement, Freddie Cunningham of 258 Group will also take on an expanded role within CAA Sports Talent Group as Head of Client Strategy. From London, he will be responsible for shaping Joshua’s off-ring opportunities, including brand partnerships, public appearances, and publishing projects. His work will span across both organisations, while also contributing to broader athlete development within CAA Sports’ international portfolio. He will report to the agency’s Head of International Talent, Roman Di Somma.
Joshua now becomes part of a CAA Sports roster that includes high-profile athletes and personalities such as Son Heung-min, Cole Palmer, Kobbie Mainoo, Gary Neville, Laura Woods, Liam Lawson, and Sky Brown.
The heavyweight boxer, now 36, first turned professional in 2013 and has twice held world championship titles. His most recent fight took place in December 2025, where he secured a sixth-round stoppage victory over Jake Paul in a Netflix-streamed bout held in Miami.
Not long after that event, Joshua was involved in a serious road accident in Nigeria that resulted in the loss of his trainer, Latif Ayodele, and strength coach, Sina Ghami. Joshua survived the crash but sustained injuries, while investigations later led to charges against the driver involved.
Away from boxing, Joshua has continued to grow his business portfolio through 258 Group, investing in sectors such as technology, real estate, media production, and performance and wellness. Over the years, he has also partnered with major global brands including Under Armour, Hugo Boss, Jaguar Land Rover, DAZN, EA Sports, Meta, Beats by Dre, and Audemars Piguet.
Despite the new commercial deal, his core boxing management, business interests, and career operations will remain under 258 Group. Communications are handled by Soapbox, legal matters by Level, and promotional duties by Matchroom Boxing.
Joshua is expected to return to action on July 25, when he faces Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia.
