Abeokuta is gearing up to host the fourth edition of the Ogun Women Run, a 5-kilometre race exclusively for women, scheduled for April 11, 2026. Over the past four years, the event has grown from a simple fitness drive into a lively celebration of women’s wellness, confidence, and community spirit across Ogun State.

Organisers, Brussels Sports Management Limited, say preparations are in full swing to ensure this year’s race is both memorable and well-coordinated. Managing Director Yetunde Johnson highlighted that the aim is not just competition but creating an experience that motivates women to stay active, connect with each other, and embrace personal empowerment through sport.

The first edition in 2022 saw Olude Kehinde Ajoke take the top spot, setting a competitive benchmark for the races that followed. This year, participants are eager to challenge reigning champion Aderonke Alabi, who claimed victory in the last edition.
