Nigeria’s home cooking enthusiasts have an exciting opportunity as MasterChef Nigeria officially begins its countrywide quest to find the nation’s best amateur chef. The local edition of this internationally acclaimed cooking show is inviting passionate cooks from every state to demonstrate their skills and innovative dishes.

Entries are open until February 27, 2026, and the winner will take home ₦73 million as well as the distinction of being Nigeria’s first MasterChef champion, opening doors to professional culinary opportunities.

The show will air on DStv’s Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family channels, highlighting Nigeria’s diverse flavors to viewers nationwide. Produced by the global media company Banijay Entertainment, this edition promises top-notch production and challenging tasks that will test contestants’ creativity, technique, and resourcefulness.

Organizers emphasize that the competition is not just about entertainment but also about unearthing and supporting emerging cooking stars, giving everyday chefs a platform to grow their talent and potentially launch professional careers.
