Tango Brook Technologies has announced the launch of its Tango Fuel Card, a new digital fuel management solution aimed at providing individuals and organisations with greater control, transparency, and efficiency in fuel expenditure. The innovation is designed to tackle long-standing challenges in Nigeria’s fuel ecosystem, such as theft, misuse, and lack of accountability, while also offering customers significant savings and rewards.

According to the company, the Tango Fuel Card is both a physical and digital solution. Customers receive a payment card that can be used at fuel stations across the country, alongside access to a digital platform equipped with advanced tools, reports, and analytics. These resources allow users to monitor how fuel is purchased and consumed in real-time, giving them the power to track costs, prevent wastage, and optimize usage patterns.

Tango Brook explained that the system has the potential to cut fuel theft by as much as 95 per cent. It is also able to detect irregularities and prevent leaks before they occur. Importantly, it offers safeguards against unauthorised spending by enabling users to set limits, restrict transactions, and review detailed purchase histories. Customers can access instant updates on each transaction, including the exact number of litres bought, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Speaking on the launch, the Managing Director of Tango Brook Technologies, Obi Wemambu, described the card as a transformative product for both individuals and businesses. “The Tango Fuel Card empowers customers with real-time visibility into fuel consumption, mileage, and spending. It provides unmatched flexibility through PIN protection, customisable limits, and nationwide acceptance. Beyond security and control, it also rewards customers by helping them save money while staying in charge of their fuel usage,” he said.

Echoing this view, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, Dubem Okafor, emphasised that the solution was built to simplify everyday fuel transactions while adding value. “This is more than just a payment method. We are introducing a smarter, more secure, and rewarding way for people and businesses to manage their fuelling needs. At Tango Brook, we are committed to creating solutions that combine convenience with transparency and tangible benefits,” Okafor stated.

In addition to its security and tracking features, the Tango Fuel Card offers substantial financial incentives. Users can save up to 15 per cent on overall fuel costs, while also benefiting from loyalty schemes that provide up to eight per cent bonuses on fuel budgets. For businesses, the card acts as a powerful data-driven tool, enabling managers to set fuel budgets for drivers, enforce spending limits, and analyse consumption trends for better decision-making.

Getting started with the Tango Fuel Card is simple. Customers need to create an account, obtain an instant wallet, and activate their card. Once in use, they can fuel up at any partnering station, track their spending, and access savings and rewards seamlessly.

With the rising cost of fuel and increasing pressure on households and businesses to cut expenses, the Tango Fuel Card arrives as a timely innovation. By blending convenience, transparency, and cost-efficiency, Tango Brook Technologies is positioning itself as a key player in reshaping how Nigerians manage one of their most essential daily needs.
