Sheila Courage, the estranged wife of Davido’s logistics manager, Israel DMW, has shared how her family reacted to the end of her marriage.
Naija News reports that the union, which lasted less than a year, ended in divorce amid mutual accusations of abuse and disrespect.
In an interview with Instablog9ja, the beauty and fashion influencer revealed that her parents were initially shocked by her decision but ultimately chose to stand by her.
According to Sheila, her mother was speechless when she first broke the news, as the couple had already experienced multiple separations within their short marriage. However, her parents trusted her judgment and prioritized her well-being.
“They thought I was joking at first,” she explained. “Before this, we had been separated twice in eight months, so I think my parents were shocked. My mom was just speechless. No parent wants their child to go through that, but my parents love me enough to support my decision. They trust me not to make the wrong choices.”
Sheila added that while it was difficult news for her family to process, they encouraged her to take the space she needed, offering unwavering support throughout the ordeal.
“I’m really grateful to God that I had that support,” she said. “It made things less difficult for me.”
