Zenith Bank Plc has celebrated its 35th anniversary in Lagos with a special recognition of its pioneer customers and long-serving staff members.
In a statement on Saturday, the bank said the milestone event brought together stakeholders, partners, employees, and friends of the institution to reflect on over three decades of excellence, innovation, and reliability in Nigeria’s financial services sector.
Established in May 1990, Zenith Bank has evolved from modest beginnings into one of Africa’s foremost financial institutions, renowned for its stability, innovative solutions, and strong customer service culture.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank, Dr. Adaora, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to exceptional service delivery and to developing financial products that empower individuals and businesses.
“Our success has been built on the trust of our customers and the dedication of our staff. Today, we not only celebrate 35 years of growth and excellence but also the people who made this possible,” she said.
The bank’s founder and chairman, Mr. Jim Ovia, also addressed the gathering, commending Zenith Bank’s resilience, consistent growth, and reputation in the Nigerian and African banking landscape.
The event attracted several prominent dignitaries, including the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu; leading businessman, Aliko Dangote; and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, among others.
The celebration featured keynote addresses, awards presentations, and musical performances, creating a memorable occasion that highlighted the bank’s achievements and reaffirmed its vision for the future.
