Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has opened up about her recent health struggles, revealing that she has been undergoing a series of medical tests after experiencing persistent discomfort.
The 39-year-old actress shared a video on her Instagram page showing what appeared to be a medical scan being conducted on her head. In a voice-over, she reflected on the fragility of life, stating, “There is a thin line between life and death… everybody must die.”
In the caption accompanying the video, Angela disclosed that the past two weeks had been especially difficult, as she moved from one hospital to another trying to identify the cause of her symptoms.
According to her, medical tests revealed that fragments of bullet pellets remnants from a 2019 gun attack are still lodged in her head.
“Last two weeks have been so hectic, lovers. It’s been one hospital or the other, running a series of tests on my head and body,” she wrote. “I haven’t been feeling too well, so my doctor advised I be placed on bed rest. Seriously, good health is underestimated.”
Angela went on to say that over the years, more fragments have continued to surface, a painful reminder of the attack she survived. “It was found that there are still fragments of bullet pellets in my head. As years go by, more still comes out,” she noted, before adding a reflection of faith: “But at the end, it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. God is with me, no doubt, and may His name be praised. Amen.”
The actress first disclosed in 2019 that she survived an attempted assassination, claiming she was attacked by gunmen who left “ten bullets in my head.” She said the shooting lasted for 30 minutes, with no help from anyone until, according to her, “God came for our rescue.”
In a follow-up post in 2021, Angela revealed that she was still experiencing lingering effects, including bullet pellets emerging from her head.
Her recent update has sparked concern among fans, many of whom flooded her comments with prayers and well-wishes for a full recovery.
