Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, has reportedly converted from Christianity to Islam, according to her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
The couple tied the knot earlier this year in a highly celebrated cross-cultural ceremony that spanned both Nigeria and Tanzania and captured attention across Africa.
In a recent interview with Afrik Media, Juma confirmed Priscilla’s religious conversion, acknowledging that it was a gradual and delicate process. He admitted that convincing her was not easy at first but credited the guidance of Islamic religious leaders for helping him approach the matter with sensitivity and wisdom.
“I was receiving lessons from religious leaders who taught me how to talk to her about the faith with understanding and patience,” Juma said. “Eventually, she began to understand Islam better, and with time, she embraced it.”
Reflecting on their wedding, the Tanzanian artist described it as a deeply personal and almost prophetic experience. “I knew everything when it came to my wedding. I had a dream about it, and I was lucky to find someone who wanted the same things I did,” he shared.
Juma expressed gratitude for the journey they’ve shared, noting that mutual respect and shared values played a major role in both their union and Priscilla’s spiritual journey.
