Nigerian singer Cynthia Morgan has addressed recent concerns about her well-being and clarified that she currently has no intention of returning to music as a career.
In a heartfelt video shared with fans, Morgan responded to a resurfaced clip of her that went viral on social media, confirming that the footage is over a year old. She reassured fans that she is now in a much better place mentally and emotionally.
“I just want to let everyone know that the video making the rounds is old. I’m doing well now, and I’m truly grateful for all the concern and kind messages,” she said.
She also acknowledged the efforts of fans who created a GoFundMe account to support her. However, she expressed hesitation about making the fundraiser public, citing a previous experience where she reportedly did not receive the funds raised on her behalf.
Morgan was candid about her current direction in life, stating that she is now focused on real estate and ministry, and will share more details in due time. While she hasn’t ruled out doing music entirely, she made it clear that a full return to the industry is unlikely.
“My goal right now isn’t to get back into music,” she explained. “I may still make music for fun in the future, but not as a career. I started making music as a teenager and gave it a decade of my life. I didn’t get what I deserved from it, but I don’t regret the journey.”
Reflecting on her experience in the music industry, she said it led her back to rediscovering herself and her purpose.
“If I ever make music again, it’ll be just for the love of it. I’m not shutting the door completely but for now, I’m focused on something new.”
She concluded with a message of gratitude:
“Thank you to everyone who’s reached out and shown support. God bless you all.”
