Things have taken an unexpected and messy turn following the Big Brother Naija Season 9 reunion, as former housemate Zion has gone public with explosive claims against his ex-girlfriend and fellow reality star, Chinwe.
In a strongly worded Instagram post shared on June 24, 2025, Zion broke his silence on their highly talked-about breakup, accusing Chinwe of emotional manipulation, infidelity, and consistently shaming him over his finances and lifestyle choices.
“You broke-shamed me at every opportunity,” he wrote. “Let’s be honest—you make money in ways I could never and would never touch. I don’t steal, I don’t push drugs. Our values are not the same. Because I chose a cleaner, slower path, I deserved to be disrespected?”
Zion went on to accuse Chinwe of engaging in relationships with other women behind his back, while also disrespecting his family during the course of their relationship.
“You supported me sometimes, and I did the same. That’s what partners do. But I never used it against you. You disrespected me and my people constantly, all while having sodomic affairs behind my back. And now you’re surprised I walked away?”
He also referenced an incident on his birthday, claiming Chinwe failed to support him when it mattered most.
“On my birthday, the club bill went over ₦1 million. I only asked you to assist with ₦270K. I regret expecting support from someone who clearly wasn’t riding for me. And let’s not forget—your team still owes mine ₦1 million, which I let go out of care for you.”
Chinwe, however, had told a different story during the reunion episode, stating that she ended the relationship due to feeling disrespected and unsupported. Zion, in contrast, insists he was the one who walked away.
The former couple were once fan favorites, known for their intense chemistry and affectionate moments during the show’s ninth season. But since leaving the house, what started as a fairy tale has unravelled into a very public—and very bitter—fallout.
