Top Nigerian footballers Victor Boniface, Frank Onyeka, and Wilfred Ndidi are gearing up to premiere a brand-new talk show titled The Culture League, launching on July 11. The series promises a dynamic fusion of football, music, film, and fashion in one vibrant platform.
The Culture League is a weekly talk series where candid discussions unfold between Nigerian football talents and leading figures from various entertainment fields, including music, fashion, and cinema.
Presented by the energetic trio, the show blends lighthearted moments with real, thought-provoking exchanges, giving fans an up-close look at the personalities behind some of Nigeria’s biggest names in culture and sport.
With a focus on authenticity and flair, the series will spotlight viral conversations, backstage revelations, and cultural highlights that define today’s Nigerian spirit and youth culture.
“The Culture League is more than just a talk show; it’s a reflection of our culture and our generation,” Esse Akwawa, CEO of Webek Studios said.
“We wanted to build a space where footballers, artists, and creatives can speak freely, connect across industries, and inspire the next wave of Nigerian talent.”
Edith Nwekenta, Creative Director at Webek Studios, added, “The Culture League brings the flair of the locker room and the honesty of the backstage into one space. It’s the kind of show that reflects how people want to engage today — with real people, real stories, and an unapologetically Nigerian point of view.”
The program will welcome a wide variety of guests from across the entertainment world. Featured appearances include comedy heavyweights Basketmouth and Bovi, music star ODUMODUBLVCK, actress Osas Ighodaro, rapper Falz, and media personality VJ Adams. These guests will open up about their careers, personal journeys, and views on fame, identity, and the overlap between entertainment and sports.
Jointly produced by Webek Studios and Kini Media Group, The Culture League underscores their shared mission to deliver powerful, culturally relevant African content that resonates both locally and globally.
