Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has clarified that there are no plans for her relationship with music executive Paul Okoye, popularly known as Paulo, to lead to marriage.
During an appearance on TVC’s *Your View*, Iyabo, who is busy preparing for her daughter Priscilla’s wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, explained that the goal of her relationship with Paulo is not marriage. She emphasized that both of them are happy with their current arrangement.
Speaking about their relationship dynamics, Iyabo shared that, due to their busy work schedules, there are times when she simply needs space. When that happens, she leaves Paulo’s house and returns to her own, a move he fully understands. “Because of the way I work, I’m a workaholic, and he is too. That Igbo man loves to work. There are times when I want to be alone, so I pack my things and go back to my house. We don’t argue about it because he understands,” she said. “We don’t want marriage,” she added.
Iyabo first publicly acknowledged her relationship with Paulo on her 45th birthday, December 21, 2022, when she shared a video collage of their moments together on Instagram. A year later, in a lighthearted interview, Paulo joked about how Iyabo had taken over his life and “snatched” him away from his many side chicks.
Both Iyabo and Paulo have expressed that their relationship is focused on enjoyment, with neither interested in having more children, as they each already have children from previous relationships.
