Controversial Nigerian socialite Bobrisky has revealed that he was arrested by immigration officials upon his return to Nigeria, just five months after leaving the country to focus on his “sanity and health.”
On April 1, 2025, Bobrisky took to Instagram to announce the arrest, stating that he was detained without being informed of the reason behind it.
“Guys, I have just been arrested by immigration in Nigeria. I don’t know what I did o,” he shared with his followers.
This arrest follows Bobrisky’s earlier decision to leave Nigeria in late 2024, when he publicly disclosed his need to prioritize his well-being. In a previous interview, he explained that constant online criticism and personal struggles had negatively impacted his mental and physical health, leading him to seek a temporary escape.
“Yes, I’m here to confirm that I’m out of Nigeria temporarily… I need to attend to my sanity and my health. A few Nigerian security agencies tried to frustrate me, but nah, I’ve got God. Imagine buying a business class ticket three times, and only one was successful. @kIm, I hope you guys refund me for the two I didn’t use. I know it’s not your fault, but it’s fine,” he posted in November 2024.
