Nigerian music superstar Davido has achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the first living African artist to cover the prestigious RollingStone Africa magazine. This historic feat is part of the buildup to the release of his highly anticipated fifth album, titled “Five,” scheduled to drop on April 18, 2025.

At his album listening party, Davido revealed that “Five” will feature an impressive 13 guest appearances, including notable artists such as Victony, Musa Keys, and Victoria Monet. Other confirmed collaborations include YG Marley, Chike, OdumoduBlvck, Adekunle Gold, and Omah Lay.

Davido recently previewed two unreleased tracks from the album during a Twitch live stream with Nigerian alternative music star Cruel Santino. One of the songs was produced by longtime associate Shizzi, who has contributed to some of Davido’s biggest hits, including “Dami Duro.”

During the stream, Davido shared the inspiration behind the album’s title, “Five,” and revealed that veteran producer Selebobo produced one of the tracks. The album’s initial release date was March 15, 2025, but it has been pushed back to April 18, 2025.

This year has already been busy for Davido, with his fifth Grammy nomination for Best African Song Performance for his collaboration with Chris Brown on “Sensational.” He also received five nominations at the upcoming 17th Headies, including Artist of the Year.
