The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Taraba State Police Command, Superintendent Abdulahi Usman, has passed away following a lengthy illness. His death was confirmed by the Force Public Relations Department in a statement issued on Wednesday, which expressed deep sorrow over the loss.
Usman, who had served as the spokesperson for the Taraba State Police Command for three years, died in the early hours of Sunday, March 23, 2025.
In the statement, Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi conveyed his heartfelt condolences, describing Usman’s passing as a devastating loss. “For three years, Superintendent Usman was more than just a police officer. He was a bridge between the police and the public, dedicated to fostering trust, ensuring transparency, and building respect,” Adejobi said.
He praised Usman for his warmth, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to justice. “His qualities of honor, duty, and compassion made him a true public servant whose legacy will continue to inspire,” Adejobi added.
Adejobi also extended his condolences to the officers and staff of the Taraba State Police Command, as well as to Usman’s family and loved ones. The statement further expressed solidarity with the bereaved, offering prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul during this difficult time.
