Darasimi, the estranged wife of comedian Ganiu Morufu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande, has spoken out against allegations of infidelity leveled against her.
Addressing the claims in an interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTok personalities on Sunday, Darasimi clarified that her interaction with Yoruba Nollywood actor Babatunde Tayo, aka Baba Tee, was misconstrued. She explained that she merely sat on Baba Tee’s lap during a “Truth or Dare” game initiated by her friend, Marygold.
Her response follows Ijoba Lande’s viral interview, where he accused her of infidelity, alleging that at least 21 men in the entertainment industry were involved with her. Among those he mentioned was Baba Tee, whom he named in an Instagram post and the viral interview.
However, Darasimi firmly denied the accusations, stating that infidelity was not the reason for their marriage’s breakdown. Recounting the events, she said, “The first time I met Baba Tee was in July last year when Marygold invited me to his house because she wanted to invite him to the launch of her movie. He didn’t know I was Lande’s wife at the time. While we were there, Marygold initiated a ‘Truth or Dare’ game. Although I was hesitant at first, I eventually joined in.”
She went on to reveal that during the game, Marygold stripped naked and performed a sexual act on Baba Tee while under the influence of alcohol and marijuana. “Marygold then dared Baba Tee to give me a doggy style. He even went to get a condom, but I refused and only sat on his lap. Nothing happened beyond that,” she stated.
Darasimi challenged Ijoba Lande to present evidence of her alleged affairs, emphasizing that he knew she never engaged in extramarital relationships.
“I will not disclose the real reason for our breakup now due to personal reasons, but it wasn’t about infidelity,” she added.
Meanwhile, Baba Tee has admitted to being involved with Darasimi but claimed it was a short-lived encounter that happened under the influence of alcohol. In a Facebook post on Monday, the 45-year-old actor publicly apologized to Ijoba Lande, writing, “I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother, Lande. Deep how Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge… Hmmm. I fear women.”
