Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has presented a certificate of approval to FirstBank Group for the construction of its eco-friendly headquarters in Eko Atlantic City.
The governor made the presentation during a ground-breaking ceremony held on Wednesday.
FirstBank announced that the 40-storey skyscraper, set to become Nigeria’s tallest building, will be an architectural and environmental landmark. The bank described the project as a fusion of advanced technology, sustainability, and innovative design, aiming to set a new benchmark for the financial sector in Africa.
Commending the initiative, Sanwo-Olu said, “FirstBank, as always, has taken the lead. I want to thank the visionaries behind this city, which will serve as Africa’s model city. Mr. Femi Otedola, well done to you, your board, and management. CBN Governor, thank you for the approval, and we hope other financial institutions get similar opportunities, as there is space for them too.”
He then handed over the certificate of approval, allowing immediate commencement of construction.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Dangote Group Founder Aliko Dangote, Chagoury Group Co-Founders Gilbert and Roland Chagoury, Dr. Deji Adeleke, Tunde Folawiyo, Bukola Saraki, and other prominent figures.
Very superb visual appeal on this web site, I’d rate it 10 10.
