Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has approved a reduction in working hours for civil servants during the 2025 Ramadan fast. The adjustment, aimed at providing employees more time for spiritual activities, was announced in a statement on Tuesday by Muhammad Dagaceri, the Public Relations Officer for the State Head of Civil Service.
Starting immediately, civil servants will report to work at 9:00 AM and close at 3:00 PM from Monday to Thursday, reducing the usual closing time by two hours. On Fridays, the workday will end at 1:00 PM, in line with customary practice.
Dagaceri explained that the new schedule is designed to give civil servants additional time to prepare for the daily Ramadan break and engage in religious activities. He encouraged state employees to use the holy month for prayer and to seek God’s guidance and blessings for the state.
The reduced working hours were welcomed by civil servants, who now have more time for their spiritual observances and family. The government’s decision underscores its commitment to supporting employees during the sacred month and promoting a healthy work-life balance.
Exceptional post however I was wondering if you could write a litte more on this subject? I’d be very grateful if you could elaborate a little bit more. Cheers!
