Controversial Nigerian singer Portable alleged that his ex-lover, Queen Dami, is the reason he hasn’t won a Grammy Award. In an interview with Daddy Freeze, Portable attributed his career struggles to his past relationship with Queen Dami.
Portable revealed that he sought guidance from Ifa, a traditional Yoruba spiritual practice, to overcome his problems. He claimed to have made offerings to Aje, the Yoruba goddess of wealth, and sought Ifa’s counsel on moving his career forward.
Speaking in Yoruba, Portable said, “I gave food to Aje and I prayed to Ifa, and I was told to say that anything blocking my way, whether it’s a woman or man that I accommodated that is not letting me progress, let them depart from me, so that they don’t remove my battery.”
Portable’s allegations have sparked attention, with some social media users dismissing his claims as baseless and questioned the validity of it , while some others supported him .
