Press Statement: SDP Delta State Marks Milestone with Successful Congress,

Elects Barrister Philip Adu-Odogwu as State Chairman

Today, the 26th of November 2024, the Social Democratic Party — SDP Delta State successfully held her Party Congress at the Party’s State Secretariat in Asaba, Delta State. The Congress whose Electoral Committee was chaired by the Party’s National Organising Secretary, Mr. Joseph .A. Abu, had Mr. Peter .O. and Ms. Benedicta Ugbome as members. Also officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission — INEC were present as observers in fulfilment of the statutory requirement. The Congress was hugely peaceful and successful as the State Executive Officials Party were duly elected and returned.

Barrister Philip Adu-Odogwu was voted unanimously as the Party’s State Chairman, while other members of the Executive Council were voted in without opposition, and took the oath of office in the presence of the Electoral Committee and INEC officials present.

The Social Democratic Party — SDP Delta State, under the leadership of Barrister Philip Adu-Odogwu has today the 26th of November 2024, began work to reform the State Chapter and put in place necessary systems and structures for the Party to be successful in the seasons leading up to the next election.
