Nigerian singer, Portable, has weighed in on the declining interest in Big Brother Naija’s latest season, offering a solution to revive the show’s popularity.
According to Portable, the show’s organizers made a critical mistake in selecting housemates who lack influence and charisma. “Big Brother Naija, no sweet like before, all those people no blow. Make them pay me N100m, I go use cruise finish them,” Portable said in an Instagram video.
Portable suggested that featuring celebrity housemates, including himself, would make the show more exciting. “I’m a street favorite, and my presence would bring a unique energy to the show,” he added.
Fans have reacted to Portable’s comments, with some agreeing that celebrity housemates could revitalize the show.
“I totally agree with Portable. The show needs someone with his kind of energy,” said @poshest_hope. “But where’s the lie? I want them to do celebrity big brother next year. Portable, Bobrisky, and Akpi should be housemates please. Thank you, Biggie.”
Others, however, were skeptical. “You wey no get sense. Nah, DJ Chicken fit give them the cruise they need…. You wey fit destroy Big Brother property,” countered @apk__037.
Portable’s suggestion has sparked a debate about the show’s format and potential changes for future seasons.
“Maybe it’s time for BBNaija to shake things up and try something new. Portable’s idea might just work,” said entertainment analyst, Victor Okolie.
Big Brother Naija’s organizers have yet to respond to Portable’s comments.
