The Federal Government has announced that Tuesday, October 1, will be a public holiday in honor of Nigeria’s 64th independence anniversary.
This information was shared by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement from the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani, on Saturday.
The minister praised Nigerians for their resilience, emphasizing that their sacrifices would ultimately yield positive results.
Tunji-Ojo encouraged citizens to take this opportunity to reflect on the contributions of past heroes.
He also highlighted the importance of unity, stating, “We can only achieve the Nigeria of our dreams when we come together.” The minister called on everyone to remain committed to nation-building.
