The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja and the Port Harcourt International Airport have been acknowledged by the Airport Council International for their outstanding commitment to managing airport emergencies and building resilience.

During a statement on Friday at the Gala Night of the 33rd Annual General Assembly of ACI Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa, Tunde Moshood, the Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, announced that both airports received plaques of recognition.

The awards were presented by ACI Africa’s Secretary-General, Ali Tounsi, and its President, Emmanuel Chaves.

“These esteemed awards highlight the steadfast dedication and effort of everyone involved in achieving excellence in airport emergency management and resilience, particularly Minister Festus Keyamo,” the statement noted.

“This accomplishment is a source of pride for Nigeria’s aviation sector, reflecting our commitment to providing safe and efficient travel experiences.”
