The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. (NNPC Ltd.) has categorically denied reports alleging that it is selling employment slots to the public. In a statement issued by Olufemi Soneye, the company’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, NNPC Ltd. urged members of the public, particularly jobseekers, to disregard the rumors.

Soneye emphasized that there is no truth to the claims that NNPC Ltd. has employment slots available for purchase. He described such allegations as “antics of fraudsters” seeking to exploit unsuspecting applicants.

As a responsible corporate entity, NNPC Ltd. stressed that its recruitment process is transparent and straightforward, devoid of slot sales or inducement. The company warned that anyone who pays money for a job in the company does so at their own risk.

NNPC Ltd. reaffirmed its commitment to a fair and merit-based recruitment process, and advised the public to be cautious of fraudulent activities. The company will not be held responsible for any losses incurred by individuals who fall prey to such scams.

It is essential for jobseekers to be aware of these fraudulent activities and to only rely on official channels for recruitment information. NNPC Ltd. will continue to communicate recruitment opportunities through its official website and verified communication channels.
