Osimhen won’t Thrive at Chelsea– Primate Ayodele

Renowned prophet and leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a caution to Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, advising him against a potential transfer to Chelsea. The cleric warned that such a move could hinder the striker’s career, predicting a lack of success if Osimhen joins the London-based club. Ayodele shared this counsel in a brief 44-second video posted on social media.

“I want to offer a direct piece of advice: Osimhen should avoid transferring to Chelsea because his career won’t flourish there, and it could be detrimental,” Ayodele stated. “To the NFF, if Osimhen ends up at Chelsea, it would be wise to reconsider calling him up to the Super Eagles. We must thoroughly evaluate our options, as we have what it takes to succeed in the World Cup and Nations Cup.”

This isn’t the first instance where the primate has made predictions concerning Chelsea. In 2023, he similarly declared that the Premier League club was under a curse and in dire need of spiritual intervention.

“Chelsea is a club in decline. If they don’t address the underlying issues, they may struggle to regain their former glory. The current owners should seek blessings from the previous owner,” he advised. “Otherwise, no matter how many top strikers, defenders, or world-class goalkeepers they acquire, a curse will continue to plague the club. If they wish to progress, they must heed this warning, or else Chelsea risks relegation.

“Any team facing Chelsea now has a good chance of defeating them; the club requires spiritual cleansing to rise to the challenges ahead.”

The Blues are in desperate need of a prolific striker and have set their sights on signing the Nigerian international, especially after a potential deal for Atletico Madrid’s Samuel Omorodion fell through.

Osimhen, 25, is one of the most in-demand strikers in Europe, attracting interest from Chelsea, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and Liverpool, following his stellar performances with Napoli. However, his substantial €130m price tag remains a significant hurdle, with PSG and other potential suitors stepping back, leaving Chelsea as the primary club still pursuing him.

As the transfer window deadline looms, Napoli is working diligently to finalize Osimhen’s departure, and with Chelsea still expressing interest, the striker appears to be on the verge of moving to Stamford Bridge.
